Plesna predstava po motivima Cankareve Sablazani u ŠenttlorijanskoJ dolini MATJAŽ FARIČ Svoju karijeru plesača i koreografa započeo je osamdesetih godina, po završetku školovanja u drezdenskoj školi Polluca. Osnovao je nekoliko plesnih grupa i sa pivom, Vzhodni plesni projekt, ostvan'o je većinu svojih ranih radova: 6. april i Slom (1988), Crvena uzbuna (1989), Emotional (1990), Icht (1991). Godine 1991. je u Slovenskom mladinskom gledališču postavio predstavu Vetar, pesak i zvezde i za nju je na Borštnikovim susretima dobio nagradu za autorski projekat. Godine 1993. osnovana je putujuća grupa DERR Matjaža Fariča. Iste godine Fancje skrenuo nasebe pažnju svojim Solom, zatim radi na pre-interpretacijama dela baletske klasike: Labudovo jezero (1994), Romeo i Julija (1995), Posvećenje proleća (1996), Trilogija, poslednji čin (Labudovo jezero, Romeo i Julija, Posvećenje proleća, 1997). U sezoni 1997/98. je sa Plesnim teatrom Ljubljana realizovao predstavu Klon i njenu skraćenu verziju RAM, a sledeće godine je, u koprodukciji Plesnog teatra i Cankarevog doma, nastala predstava Otok, a sa E.P.I. centrom predstava Korak. Godine 1999. Matjaž Fane angažovan je kao stalni koreograf Cankarevog doma, po zapadnoevropskom modelu choreographer in residence. U izvršnoj produkeiji Cankarevog doma te jeseni je ostvarena predstava Terminal (najpre njena kraća verzija za Intercult, projekat Euralien Stokholm, kultuma prestonica Evrope 99), koja je u nedeljniku “Mladina" proglašena slovenačkom predslavom godine. U Cankarevom domu je ostvan'o i koreografiju 10 s ispod nule, koja je u skraćenom obliku prikazana u okviru međunarodnog pozorišnog projekta Hotel Evropa, a sa kojom je od maja do septembra 2000.
