Tusedey, September 21, 12 h 30 min Forum groups of independent theatres, youth organisations and secondary schools, Serbia THEATRE COMMUNITIES FOR GROWING UP WITHOUT VIOLENCE Open theatre forum workshop Moderators: Aleksandra Jones and Jelena Vuksanović, forum trainers, Belgrade, Serbia UK"Parobrod"(duration: 90 min) Forum theatre- theatre for social action- is a well-known and very popular drama technique and form of participative theatre in which everybody takes an active part, i.e., both those on the stage and those in the audience, jointly analysing problems of interest and concern to them and trying to find acceptable solutions. Participants in the open workshop based on exchange of the experience are forum theatre practitioners, included in project of UK"Parobrod"and Stari Grad municipal Youth office, Belgrade; members of RAFT theatre and POD theatre, Belgrade; high schools pupils included in Unicef's project "School without violence", forum theatre practitioners from youth offices of Subotica, Sokobanja, Kragujevac, Ivanjica and Svilajnac included in THE SHAPE project "Develop ment of human recourses in Serbia trough active participation of youth people" by International organisation for migrations lOM,and other forum theatre practitioners from country and region. Project Objective Drama - POD Theatre will present their film The Last class made as a part of the programme Rehearsal for the reality which takes place in the Military high school, Technical school for leader design, School for shipping, shipbuilding and hydroelectric works, in Belgrade, Serbia. Film was made because of the need for exploration of different possible ways of communication on violence prevention. Beside the young people from the high schools, professors, actors, artists and trainers from Theatre of oppressed, are also taking the parts is the film. Film is produced in the collaboration with organisation RATF and Cynefm, Project is supported by the Democracy Commission programme of American Embassy in Belgrade. Well known forum theatre practitioners from region, specially from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be directly or virtualy included in this exchange of ideas and suggestions.
