EXERCISE FOR CHOREOGRAPHY OF ATTENTION 'POINT OF NO RETURN’
Exercise for Choreography of Attention 'Point of No Return' is a cooperative work which defines choreography as a wider notion and a concept of performing thought. During the process of work, the authors transform the roles of choreographer and dancer into an act in which the choreographer creates a frame within which a performer, in this case a visual artist, generates materials. Choreography is created through their shared work on the editing of the material. In the final stage of the project, graphic design and paging are done according to the choreographic task. The texts and drawings created during the process of work on project Exercise for Choreography of Attention 'Point of No Return', are collected and performed as choreography in a book, while the public performance is delegated to the audience and is made in two spaces - in individual space between each person from the audience/performer and the book, their direct interaction and contact, and through the act of collective performance by the audience as a whole/performers in the theatre. Through a predetermined setup, this performance combines the individual and the collective performing act, and is based on choreography as a form of guiding, i.e. an attempt of drawing attention through an arbitrarily made proposal of the text of the performance and the drawings in the book. The duration of the choreography is not preset, and is hard to be estimated; it depends on each person in the audience/performer.
