REČ SELEKTORA Izuzetna predstava jedne od vodečih britanskih nezavisnih trupa, Forsd Entertainment. Taj status zaslužuje najmanje zbog dve stvari, obe povezane s fenomenom pozorišnog vremena: uz neprestane dopune i izmene, postoji več 21 godinu (nastala je 1996) i sadrži i svoju dužu verziju od 24 sata (izvodenu samo dva puta). Predstava se igra u orignialnoj verziji od šest sati, u Danu prologa, i to iz više razloga. Zbog svoje „starosti“, kao i činjenice da je pre petnaestak godina več gostovala u Srbiji, ona je vračanje u prošlost, performativni zapis o istoriji, kako pozorišta uopšte tako i o svojoj vlastitoj. Kao takva, ona je zaslužila da bude na samom početku festivala, da nas uvede u estetski fenomen koji se uspostavlja kao središnji na 51. Bitefu, a čiji je jedan od najvažnijih „rodonačelnika“ trupa Forsd Entertainment, i to baš sa predstavom Quizoo/a! - s predstavom dugog trajanja. Kao što i sam naslov nagoveštava, predstava ima strukturu beskonačnog kviza (asocijacija na film / konje übijaju, zar ne?), te opsesije savremenog medijskog društva, u kom se nadovezuju jedna na drugu, uz „rotaciju" glumača, razmene pitanja i odgovora na razne teme, u rasponu od ličnih i banalnih do javnih i filozofskih, ali su sve, na jedan ili drugi način, politieke. Predstava se takode zasniva na improvizaciji sjajnih glumača i stvara, kao i sve vrlo duge predstave, specifično iskustvo prisustva i razmene energije.

CURATORS’ WORD The extraordinary production by Forced Entertainment, one of the leading British independent companies, It deserves this epithet for at least two reasons, both having to do with the phenomenon of theatre time: it contains a twenty-four hour version (performed only twice) and has survived, with constant changes and modifications, for not less than 21 years (it was created in 1996). On the Prologue Day, it will be performed in its original version of six hours. There are several reasons for this decision. Due to its “age”, and due to the fact that it already toured Serbia some fifteen years ago, it represents a unique return to the past, a performed note about history of the theatre in general and its own. As such, it deserves to be at the beginning, to introduce us to the aesthetic phenomenon central to the 51 st Bitef, one of whose most important “founding fathers” were Forced Entertainment Company and with Quizoola! no less: the durational performance. As suggested by the title, it is structured as an endless quiz (remindful of the film They Shoot Horses, Don't They?'), this obsession of the modern media society in which, alongside the “rotation” of actors, questions and answers to various topics generate new questions and answers ranging from personal and trivial to public, philosophical yet all, in a way. political. It is based on improvisations by splendid actors and, like all durational performances it creates a specific experience of presence and energy exchange.
