MARGARETA SORENSEN stekla je master iz oblasti plesnih študija u Švedskoj, gde sada radi kao pozorišna i plesna kritičarka, spisateljica, istraživač i profesorka na univerzitetu. Kritiku piše za švedske dnevne novine Expressen, a autor je i nekoliko knjiga iz oblasti izvođačkih umetnosti, kulture za decu i plesa. Radovi su joj uvršteni u brojne antologije o scenskim umetnostima, kako u Švedskoj tako i u inostranstvu, izmedu ostalih nalze se u Novoj švedskoj istoriji pozorišta (2006) i Svetskoj enciklopediji lutkarske umetnost! (UNIMA), Predaje istoriju plesa i koreografiju u okviru programa za plesne pedagoge Univerziteta LTU u Švedskoj, Buduči zainteresovana za savremeni ples i klasične tradicije plesa, pozorišta i lutkarstva Azije, cesto kombinuje scenske forme, poput plesnog pozorišta i „Gesamtkunstwerk'' kasnog 20. i ranog 21. veka. Njena knjiga Mats Ek { 2Oll, ilustrovana fotografijama Lesli Lezli-Spinks u englesko-švedskom izdanju) posvečena je fluidnim granicama između plesa i pozorišta. Margaret Sorenson je več dugi niz godina član odbora Medunarodne asocijacije pozorišnih kritičara, več sedam godina bavi se organizacijom seminara za mlade kritičare, a od 2014. je i predsednica asocijacije. Članica je žirija „European Premio per il Teatro", kao i istraživačkog komiteta UNIMA.

MARGARETA SORENSON is a Swedish senior theatre and dance critic, writer, researcher and university lecturer, holding an MA in dance studies. As a critic, she works for Swedish daily national Expressen, as a writer she has written several books on performing arts, children’s culture and dance. She has also contributed to numerous national and international anthologies on scenic arts, as the compulsory Swedish Ny Svensk Teater historia (New Swedish Theatre History) 2006, and the World Encyclopedia of Puppetry Arts/Encyclopédie International des Arts de la Marionette (UNIMA). In Sweden, she lectures dance history and choreography in LTU’s (Luleâ Technical University) program for dance pedagogues. Her orientation towards contemporary dance and classical Asian traditions for dance, theatre and puppetry, often led her to cross-over forms for the stage, such as dance-theatre and "Gesamtkunstwerk” in the late 20 th and early 21 st century. Her book, Mats Ek, (2011, photos by Lesley Leslie-Spinks, in English-Swedish edition) focuses on the fluid limits between dance and theatre. Since long, Margareta Sorenson is a member of the board of the International Association of Theatre Critics, directing the seminars for young critics for seven years, since 2014 the president of the association. She is a member of the jury for the "European Premio per il Teatro” and a member of the research commission of UNIMA.
