Performance The Seagull is a result of a 16-month long creative process, based on the interpretative and personal experience of the participants. The Chekhov’s text was read and analysed through practical work - action in space, with different acting approaches and psychodramatic techniques. Apart from the content of the drama - theatre, acting, writing, creativity, relations between falling in love and creation, mutual relationships, mechanisms and patterns in relationships, tension between generations, old and new, recognition and expectation, wishes etc. - the topics which determine each of the four acts were being crystalised during the process. The first act is about theatre and art, the second one deals with falling in love, fantasy and dreams. In the third act the topic is objects, possession of objects and people, and treating people as objects. The fourth act is about destiny and/or coincidence, and how decisions and events can effect someone’s life. This performance could actually be four different performances, as its acts are four comprehensive entireties.
