★ WITOLD MROZEK (1986) is a theatre critic and columnist, contributor of Gazeta Wyborcza the biggest Polish daily newspaper. As a member of the Political Critique collective, Mrozek perceives theatre as a part of broader field of social processes - strictly connected with politics, collective remembrance and class divisions. He is an author of essays on theatre, film and the relations of these arts with history and public memory. He has collaborated as a curator with the Theatre Instititute and the Institute of Music and Dance in Warsaw. Known for his sharp world view, Mrozek has been a contributor for Polish cultural magazines like Dwutygodnik and Przekrój, legendary weekly appearing from 1945 to 2012. For Przekrój, he worked as one of the last theatre journalists. Witold Mrozek is also a left-wing political activist, member of the executive board of the Green Party of Poland.

★ AWARDS Bitef jury gives the Grand Prix Mira Trailović for the best overall performance, and the Special Prize for the performnce outstanding in one of its elements. Apart from this two and The Audience Award, the best director at Bitef traditionally receives the Politika Award.

★ politika jury Politika will bestow its award for the best direction at Bitref for the 37th time. The jury is made of directors, critics and journalists in the Cultural Section of the oldest Serbian daily.
