Station - Service for contemporary dance x A PROBLEMATIC BOOK A Problematic Book is a book of texts and notes made within the programme Critical Practices (Made In Yugoslavia) in 2015 and 2016. It contains critical analysis of performances, productions, festivals and all those phenomena that the authors have recognised as the signifiers of spaces of modern performing arts. That is why the concept of ‘problematic’ came up as it sharpens the focus of the critical discourse when watching modern performing arts as fields of theory, artistic practice and cultural policy and their interdependence. The book contains critical texts and interviews preceded by an introduction by the second author in the group, emphasizing the inner structure of the group of authors and the method of work presuming cooperation, collective thinking and critical dialogue. There is also a lexicon of terms which stand out as „problematic places“ needing re-definition and re-examination so as to encourage the examination of one’s own knowledge, attitudes and views - a basis for critical thought. The authors are Ida Daniel, Kristof Farkas, Shir Hacham, Aisiing Marks, Stina Nyrberg,

Livia Andrea Piazza, Ana Schnabl and Ana Vujanović. The book is in English and the publisher is Station - service for contemporary dance, The programme of Critical Practices (Made in Yu) is a mentor programme for young authors (writers, critics, researchers, theorists) across Europe and is based on the already existing platforms of magazine TkH (Belgrade).
