The paper with the subtitle Ratarski nedeljni list was published in Budapest from 1897 to 1915 (1918). Stevan V. Popović known as Čika Steva was the editor in chief. It was published by the Hungarian government in Serbian, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovak, Ruthenian and German, for all nations in Hungary. Its goal was to educate peasants in agriculture, health, hygiene , but also to publish literary contributions, entertaining articles, descriptions of customs and illustrations. Its publication did not stop right after the outbreak of the First World War because the editor, as the member of Hungarian parliament, developed trust with the government.
