SELECTORS' NOTE The Showcase program is not based on the strong artistic or theoretical selectors'concepts. It is based primarily on pragmatic reasons. It is planned as a dense series of events that will feature encounters of a large number of contemporary performances from Serbia and foreign guests, students and wide local audiences. The contingencies of this year's selection are "as they are" (tel quel) and, given this reason, the selection comprises of the works that would not have been there had the possibilities been ampler or just different.

The performances are included into the Showcase based on the following criteria: - The works are produced and performed in Serbia in the past several years; - Are based on the tradition of Bitef, making a step out of the local repertory routine; - Correspond with contemporary shifts on the international scene, and - Are representative of the local performing arts scene, based on the artistry displayed.
