PITCHO WOMBA KONGA Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Pitcho emigrated to Belgium at the age of 7. He discovered Hip Hop in the 80s and founded his own group - Onde de Choc - in 1994, which was integrated with the structure Souterrain Production. Broadcasts, radio programs, mix-tapes, concerts and collections followed till 1997. Pitcho stayed very active. With a group of friends, he created Funkdamtion - an artistic joint work with the ambition to promote the hip-hop culture in Belgium. He also worked on the creation of Kwality Street, an urban culture magazine. His first album. Regarde Comment, came out in 2003. It was well received by the critics because of its finely-worked sounds and carefully chosen texts, it was obviously because of these quantities that he was the first rapper to be invited to the Midi of Poetry orto do Slam at the Brussels Book Fair as well as other major venues. His love of theatre and texts led him to make his first step in 2003 with the play Bintou of the Ivory by Koffie Kwahule, directed by Rosa Gasquet. He was also seen in France and across the world in Peter Brook's Tierno Bokar in 2004. in 2005, Pitcho brought out his EP 7 titles. Faut pas Confondre in France and Belgium, which resulted in many concerts. He creates his own production company: Skinfama which alow himself to produce other artists.
