It is the last moment to switch from the researches in the public and message receivers to an analysis of communicators and contents of the media, radio and television programmes. ORIENTATION IN THE WORK OF RTV RESEARCH CENTRES How did we achieve all this knowledge? The bibliography shows that there аге still sirrular weaknesses and disproportions in the basic orientation of RTV research centres. All the members of the communication chain, i.e. the programme, the audience and the communicators аге not still equahy the subject of their researches. The public remains the main subject of these researches. There аге 916 bibliographic entries in total and 815 of 88,9% of them deal with the researches in the public. The message is: the programme as the main product of RTV institutions in which we work, is at the edge of our attention. Only 99 or 10,8% of bibliographic units directly refer to the analysis of radio and television programmes. However, the fact that researches in the public also work out the programme, although indirectly, must be taken into consideration. In this way the programme is worked out as the public understand and grade it. The absence of the researches in the human factor is the most surprising although it influences the programme in the most crucial way. There аге only two researches which аге devoted to the communicators, people who work at the TV, and which are effected in our research centres. - The classification of bibliographic items on the basis of other criteria, discovers further disproportions. Actually, the various kinds of programmes which аге not worked out according to a plan, are within the mentioned basic subjects of researches (the public, message, and communicators). For example, the majority of the researches in the public reactions to programmes (234) is devoted to programmes in general. There
