RTV Theory and Practice - Special Issue

effected for both radio and TV at the same time, i.e. that they refer to both programmes in total, is opposite to our expectations. Only four researches analyse radio and television as separate media. Among the programmes genres a special attention was paid only to social role and effects of the economic and advertising programmes. It is astonishing that our research centres affected only 26 researches in the domain of programme planning. If the research departments at RTV have апу special tasks, then the analysis of the programme plannmg must be among the most important. Some departments help those who plan the programme, but expert analysis advanced the system methods of programming a little. The research results must be constantly included in general efforts to deepen the роИсу of democratization and making the media more social. This task should be shown more clearly in the orientation and work of the research centres. They should affirm the results and knowledge about the pubhc in programme planning and production. As there is a similarity between the tasks and aims of the research departments at RTV, we would expect that they coordinate more on the territory ot whole Vugoslavia. Radio and TV аге media which do not know the borders between the countnes, expecially not the borders between the repubhcs and provinces. However, there are not many mutual researches and therefore it is very difficult to make a picture of some type of radio and television communications, and on the basis ot the data which can be compared. In other words, only 23 joint researches were effected. From the thematic point of view, the choice itself is not m accordance with the needs and mterests ot the pub Uc. The largest number of the jomt researches was effected in the field which refers to watching the programme which had been prepared for tne New Year Eve, and then in connection with the economic advertising on the radio and television.
