We want to fill that gap on WHCR . We also use music, drama and oral history f rom the local scene to help people learn about this fascinating piace called Harlem . And some of our music and cultural programming is for your (anđ our) enjoyment. We want listening to WHCR to be fun as well as something you can learn from. Probably the best way to see what we mean is to listen to the station. We want to teii you a little bit about the people who worK at WHCR and their jobs . The Station Manager is in charge of the day-to-day running of the station. She must be sure that our operations comply with government regulations and follow City College policies , as well as meet our goals as Harlem's neighborhood radio . A part-time Engineer is in charge of all the eguipment, and maKes sure we have what we neeđ to stay on the air . Two volunteers who are students majoring in the academic program in Communications , Film and Video at the College take on the jobs of Program Director and News and Public Affairs Director .
