ANGELIN PRELJOCAJ After studying classical dance, Angelin started contemporary dance with Karine Waehner, getting a grant to study at Schola Cantorum. From 1 980, he worked in New York with Zena Rommet and Merce Cunningham, returning then to France with Quentin Rouiller, Viola Färber and Dominique Bagouet. In December 1984, Preljocaj founded his own company. In March 1985, he presented his first work Marché noir at the International Bagnolet Dance Competition, Le Ballet pour demain, for which he obtained the Ministry of Culture Prize.
