The network of small improvisations and interactions among the pictures, music, movement and song, communicates with the basic association of the audience. And it is up to the audience, if they create a story in their minds or only a series of abstract picutres. The aim of the work is to open the imagination. It relies upon an active audience. The main means are: water, fire, puppets and music... These essential elements have the same value in this country as they have in all parts of the world. The Solstice Ensemble comes here to discover them and to show you what they have found. Archa Theatre The Archa Theatre has come to be one of the most recognised venues for international dance, theatre and music productions in the Czech republic. The space itself is one of the most technically advanced spaces in Europe in which artists, such as Robert Wilson, Philip Glass, Meredith Monk, Diamanda Galas, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, and Wim Vandekeybus have introduced their work to Czech audiences. Apart from presenting. Archa also produces its own performances specially made for its space. The godfathers of the Archa include

American musician John Cale, and Japanese dancer/choreographer Min Tanaka who created the performance for the grand opening of the theatre. Both of these artists regularly return to the Archa Theatre to perform, and also to work with local artists on new collaborations. Even before it opened its doors in 1994, the Archa Theatre promoted improvisational Czech puppetry and street performances throughout Europe, during Prague Week as part of the Cultural Capital of Europe in Antwerp in 1993, as well as in the Kulturhuset Festival in Stockholm, also that same year. During the first three years, the Archa Theatre has produced its own projects such as 'The Freak Show Live", with the San Francisco based musical group. The Residents; "Sweet Theresienstedt", under the direction of Damien Gray; "The Day is Morning, Noon and Evening", a developed production under the guidance of Peter Schumann of the Bread and Puppet Theater; and "Cool, Heavy Tango", created by the Dutch theatre company, Dogtroep. And most recently, Min Tanaka returned to the Archa Theatre to create "Grimm Grimm", based on the Brother's Grimm's Fairy tales.
