the President of the Executive Council in matters for which he has been authorized. The Executive Secretary is appointed by the Vugoslav Radio and Television Assembly. Yugoslav Radio and Television and its members collaborate with radio broadcasting organizations in 100 countries. This cooperation, which extends to all continents and a large number of radio and television stations, is conducted via Vugoslav Radio and Television ог directly between the partners themselves. Written agreements on collaboration ог working programs have been signed with many radio broadcasting organizations. Yugoslav Radio and Television and its members actively participate in the activities of international radio and television organizations, on large-scale events, contests and other multilateral projects. Yugoslav Radio and Television is an active member of the European Union for Broadcasting (UER/EBU) and an associate member of the Asiatic Union for Broadcasting (ABU), the African Union for Broadcasting (URTNA) and the Arab Union for Broadcasting (ASBU). Yugoslav Radio and Television partidpates as an observer ш the Intemational Organization for Radio and Television (OIRT). The members of Yugoslav Radio and Television аге active in many international contests, celebrations, festivals and other events. In research on programs, audiences, development and activities of the radio and television organizations, the members collaborate with international organizations and similar services. Yueoslav events attended by many guests from abroad, such as Radio Week in Ohrid and the Festival of Yugoslav Television in Portorož, promote friendship and extend mternational cooperation. In a period of twenty years, more than six thousand partners from foreign radio and television stations have visited Yugoslavia in order to become familiar with the orgamzation of Yugoslav Radio and Television and its members. Yugoslav Radio and Television has hosted 37 international meetmgs m the field of radio and television.
