The Language of Walls is a piece for seven female dancers and a one-man band, about sisterhood and personal liberation. Between worn-out wallpaper, bar stools and tables, the dancers perform a powerful journey to the electro acoustic composition of Elad Cohen, researching for female expression through dance. Moving between despair and order and trying to catch the intoxicating energy of life, the performers reach far beyond their limits as artistes, beyond the teaching of shame and beyond social judgment. Guy Weizman and Roni Haver RONI HAVER & GUY WEIZMAN Roni Haver and Guy Weizman are both Israeli choreographers, living and working in the Netherlands, where they created Club Guy & Roni, an international touring group, who is supported by the Dutch fond for the performing arts and by the provinces and city of Groningen, in the north of Holland. Their list of works include pieces for the Bat Sheva ensemble, Galili Dance, Ballet Du Nord, Oldenburg state theater, Osnabruck/Bielefeld city theater, the Shenyang Ballet, Tolada DC and Club Guy & Roni. Guy & Roni are also frequent guests in universities and dance academies all over the world, where they give workshops, master classes and lead projects. The dance language of Guy & Roni presents a combination of strong and determined physicality with a clear theatrical focus. In combination with the firm approach to music, they create dance/theatre concerts, where energy and poetry brings the ancient and contemporary forms of expression together. Dance, as the primal form of expression, is chosen for its intensity, grace and maybe most important, its pursuit of liberation, portraying the depth and complexity of our spirit and fantasy. "Using associative communication, Guy & Roni seek to whisper ideas in the eyes of the spectator and hope for creative arousing of their imagination, embracing the old saying - first shoot, than ask questions." Educated in Israel Guy & Roni were trained in both classical and modern ballet techniques with (among others) Valerie Panov (Russia) and Rose Sobol (South Africa). As dancers Guy & Roni worked with the Bat Sheva ensemble (Ohad Naharin) inTel Aviv, Lanonima Imperial in Barcelona (Juan Carlos Garcia), Ultima Vez in Brussels (Wim Vandekeybus) and Galili Dance in Amsterdam / Groningen (Itzik Galili).
