Belgijski reditelj Alen Platel je jedan od retkih velikih savremenih reditelja i koreografa koji je nedostajao zbirci svetskih velikana koji su bill na Bitefu. Ansambl koji je osnovao 1984. godine, karakterise istovremeno popularnost, anarhizam i angažovanost. Takav je i u predstavi sa transvestitima, koju je stvorio sa Frankom van Lekeom. Platelova koleginica Vanesa van Durme sakupila je stare transvestite da bi u predstavi pokušala da otkrije nešto od njihovog najintimnijeg života. U kontrastu sa jednim darovitim i privlačnim mladim Rusom i pravom ženom, oni se igrom otkrivaju, ponekad sa ukusom gorcine, a nekada sa zanosom. Reč je о vremešnim damama (nekadašnjim muškarcima), nekada kabaretskim transvestiranim glumcima koji su se oprostili od pozorišta, ili о transeksualcima koji do sada nisu bili na sceni. Sve nosi tugu i sjaj poslednje kabaretske predstave pred njihov razlaz.

Alain Patel, a director from Belgium, is one of the rare contemporary directors and choreographers who never, until now, presented his work at Bitef festival. Ensemble he founded in 1984, is characterized by popularity, anarchism and social engagement, and those very features pervade the performance of transvestites, which he has made, with Frank Van Laecke. Patel's colleague Vanessa van Durme has gathered a group of old transvestites in an attempt to discover something from their most intima, te lives in this performance. Contrasted on stage with a gifted and attractive young Russian and a real woman, they reveal their unusual world with a combination of bitterness and rapture. The group consists of elderly ladies (once men), former cabaret dancers who parted with theatre ages ago, and transsexuals who have never been on stage. All of it is veiled irr the feeling of sadness and glory of the last cabaret performance before the final exit of its participants.
