PARTICIPATION OF THE EMPLOYEES IN MANAGING THE ENTERPRISE
SUMMARY
Participation of the employees in managing the enterprise is their collective right. It is based on the working status and work. There are in the world different forms of participation of the employees in managing the enterprise. There is participation through consulting and information, through negotiations, through representationh in managing bodies or through particular bodies, etc.
The Law of Yugoslavia anticipates two basic forms of participation of the employees in the managing the enterprise. They are:a) participation in managing and supervising boards, and b) council of the employees. The managing and supervising boards are bodies of the enterprise. The council of the employees is an optional body established by the workers themselves. Participation of the employees in management through the managing and supervising boards is carried out by definite number of their representatives in these bodies (depending on the property structure of the enterprise). The council of the employees has a double role: a) the role of the body taking part in decision-making on the occasion of certain issues together with other bodies of the enterprise ( decision-making); and b) the role of the consulting body (its position on the occasion of certain issues to be solved to).
