Initially , it was extremely difficult for females to be recruited because it was a problem for female candidates to leave their husbands for assignment in rural parts , coupled with the tradition that women follow men for outside assignments than vice verse . In addition to producers , technicians to maintain the stuđio eguipment and generators were recruited anđ trained locally anđ in the u .S . STAFF TRAINING LRCN offers two categories of training to its staff , that is , local and foreign training . The radio producers at each station were trained locally by LRCN in radio production . The Station Managers were trained locally too , except for a month's attachment training at local radio stations in Nigeria , Dominica anđ the United States . Other senior staffers have had foreign training in rađio production , instructional system design , Broadcast Management, community relations and broadcast engineering . HOURS OF BROADCAST The three LRCN regional broadcasting stations come on air twice a day. They broadcast from 6 a.m, to 8 a.m. and from 6p.m. to 10 p.m. daily throughout the week , LANGUAGE SELECTION ln broađcasting to its audience in the coverage area of each station , the major local languages spoken by a large number of the people were selected as LRCN's broadcast languages .
