The way of working of Die Magnetischen Felder visual performance theatre, main points, points of view, ideas, vibrations, fragments... We place ourselves at the audience’s disposal as a surface for projection of their own associations. Our w'ork is to be understood as a multiple sounding body; we are composers. and the sounds are images, remaining in part only in form of fragments and thus functioning like a slanting sequence of sounds. We don’t stage anybody but create a body who contains our reflection and our surroundings beyond that dreamlike, tom apart scenes, which we understand to be an important element of the human reflection on the things that happen around us. Our plays tell something about tension, dynamic processes in everyday life, but they do it more from the soul’s point of view, than from the visionary point of view, which we feel would be too superficial a material to serve our research work. Our eyes are able only to limited perception. An important tool, therefore, is our sensitive intuition perceptable by all sorts of sense organs. We try to make an unperceptable skeleton perceptable, touchable. Therefore, w'e not appeal only to the spectators eyes and ears by our work, but more to their multiple sensitivity for this unperceptable skeleton of our surroundings, our own existence which is perceived by everyone of us as a kind of phenomenon and treated like a social code. The spectators often feel that our work is a revelation of the subconciousness, while a crossing and overlapping in perception within certain sections among the spectators takes place. This allows the conclusion that a collective system for certain tension exists. We are also interested in the digestion system - in our own one - especially the one of our soul. How and in which w'ay things are being digested. .. All sorts of things serve us as means of expression. We try' to dissect our body (like Artaud describes it in his essay Emotional Athletics in The Theatre and its Double). and we finally even tried to make our knee seeing and our toes writing, or to understand every step on the ground as a cut into the ground.
