THE AGE STRUCTURE OF RADIO LISTENERS An average of 9 series

The conclusion is clear and unambiguous. In proportion to the advance of years, interest in radio declines. The youngest are relatively the most numerous and regular listeners to radio. Unfortunately, because of the relatively smail sample and conceptually different assumptions of the DB there is no possibility of more valid conclusions on which programmes most engage the attention of the youngest listeners. We must be satisfied at the moment with the knowledge that radio has won a place with the young and it is certain that it will retain it.
